I think one of the reasons modern feminists have such a Baby Groot Hugs Minion Shirt bad reputation is that they want women to have the right to choose, unless the choice is to stay home and not to pursue a career…they believe that sets their cause back. I know how you feel but I accept that because of us, many young women have no idea what it means to struggle like we had to just to do and be what we wanted to do and be in the world. Wasn’t that the point?

Becky Lynn I don’t think that’s true for the Baby Groot Hugs Minion Shirt vast majority of women. What we want is for women’s choices to be valued and to not have our futures impacted by taking time off for kids. I also want a world that’s helpful to working moms. So that our careers aren’t limited because we choose not to go to the golf course on Sundays to do business. A better work life balance. When feminists talk about patriarchy they talk about how business and work has been structured around men with wives at home. Why is that? Why can’t I go home make dinner and help kids with homework and then choose to do some work? It’s complicated but trust me feminism is not about hating men and families. But let’s also be logical here: I’m 54 and my “kids” are 26 and 22. They haven’t needed my undivided attention in years. And so I’m glad I pushed for a career because there’s more for me to do and give.

I think the title is misleading. She didn’t change her mind on Austen because of feminism. She changed her mind because she finally built up an intellectual endurance for reading extremely articulate 19th century language. Prior to that, her argument against Austen was entirely emotional. In other words her reaction was like a person, having never disciplined themselves to running suddenly made a Baby Groot Hugs Minion Shirt judgement call on the worthiness of running after attempting a marathon and unsurprisingly, failing. She’s learnt her lesson now. I only hope she’s more open minded towards Shakespeare and Chaucer.
